During my employment at STIL, I had the opportunity to collaborate with a small team of engineers and clinical professionals on the development of novel solutions for individuals suffering from tremors. During the three-year period of my involvement, we have tested and refined a variety of methods to assist tremor patients to the greatest extent possible. Following a multi-year exploration of tremor suppression techniques, the STIL Stabilis orthosis was developed. This is a passive, lightweight solution for people suffering from lower arm tremor. The orthosis is designed to reduce tremors by strategically positioning passive dampers on the arm. As industrial designer and co-inventor, I was responsible for the guidance of the design, ergonomics and functional performance during the development process.

The final delivery of my employment was the first series of products that have been used for clinical tests. Following this, the team proceeded to make final adjustments to the design. The brace is currently being sold and delivered to tremor patients across Europe.
