The F1100 is a dining table chair that is designed for disassembly. In early 2023, I initiated this project with the end of the product's life cycle in mind. This has resulted in a chair design that has been optimised for repairability and recyclability, while maintaining a timeless aesthetic. The F1100 design is distinguished by the incorporation of a stainless steel rod that serves a dual function, acting as both a structural backbone and a compliant component. This integration enhances the backrest's ergonomics, ensuring a comfortable flex.

The objective of this project was demonstrate that the use of natural materials and functional construction methods can serve as a framework for the development of durable products. The production of this chair has been limited to a small series of 10 pieces, all of which have been produced and constructed by myself.
